Merry Christmas - See our card here!
2025 has been a banner year, with milestones, marriages, and celebrations! The biggest highlight was the much-anticipated wedding between Jordan and Bryce! The weather cleared just in time for a heartwarming, beautiful ceremony, and a delightful, festive reception! We are so excited as they make their home and future together!
2025 began with a late Day Family Christmas & Wynne’s birthday celebration and trip to Houmas House! It was gorgeous, as always, made magical with holiday decor, and the dining impeccable! We actually got to stay the night in one of their lovely cottages, walking the grounds like we owned the place – definitely recommend the stay!
And sneaux! With all of the rare, fluffy fun that entails!
TJ and Betsy welcomed Ellianna officially into the family!
A lovely spring engagement party at David & Nicole’s home, then a summer shower at Megan’s home, and fall shower at Bryce’s cousin’s home, as families and friends toasted the happy couple!
Easter was a beautiful and meaningful season – with our neighborhood festivities making it even more so.
Kite Fest was high-flying fun! Noelle has gotten the hang of launching the kite into the air!
Work is going well, for Charlie and Wynne. Wynne’s clients are winning awards, and she is getting to help produce meaningful events in the community. Charlie and Wynne are still getting to travel for work (and fun) – sometimes even together! We made the trek down to Cameron to lunch at Lighthouse Bend – worth the drive (and be sure to get the bread pudding!).
Promoting Louisiana in Elvis’ birthplace, Tupelo, MS, was a hunka burning fun!
Fourth of July was a festive and patriotic time, with a neighborhood cookout before fireworks!
As the fall school semester got underway, Megan found out she was named Teacher of the Year at Mayfair Lab School – so proud of her! Aside from amazing score improvements for her students, the school summed up her accomplishments – “Mrs. Perry teaches middle school math and is known for her sticker-covered classroom, big heart, and deep care for every student who walks through her door. She goes above and beyond to support struggling learners and create a space where all students feel secure, capable, and valued. Her dedication and compassion truly embody what it means to be a Mayfair Lab Tiger!”
And, as Megan ramped up her year, Jordan completed her clinicals in Ultrasound and graduated as a registered Sonographer with a few weeks to spare before her wedding!
Now that she and Bryce have settled into their home, just outside of Baton Rouge, she is looking for the perfect imaging center to help navigate medical procedures and make sure babies are progressing properly!
Dad and Kay also tied the knot the Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was a lovely affair at City Club – even if Noelle and Lawson did steal the show a bit!
And, Noelle continues to steal the show wherever we go! She has lots of fun with Lolli & Pop, as well as Aunt J & Uncle Bryce, when her mama shares the snuggles. The year was full of trampoline-jumping, tent-making, cooking, and other adventures. She did so well for her first Christmas program!
The Day & Waltman Family celebrations were fun, even if we were sadly missing a few friendly faces! Our immediate family festivities were pushed to post-Christmas – worth the wait!
We are looking forward to rolling in with all of our new beginnings, including empty nesting! Wishing everyone a joyous Christmas season and a happy and healthy New Year!
Love,
The Waltmans
