We have had quite a bit of wonderful this year! So that even the not-so-wonderful seems to fade by this season of cheer.

We had way more marshmallows for roasting and parties for hosting than caroling, especially in the tiny amount of sneaux, but lot of stories to tell.

We have been to a Mardi Gras ball and parties for Queen Kathleen and now Queen Bonnie, along with plenty other parties, tailgates, and a few fancy affairs!

Lots of travels throughout beautiful Louisiana, and elsewhere -  mostly for work, but sometimes we get to visit friends and family, and we can’t complain!

Still loving our bright kitchen, phrase 47 of our home remodel!

Some hospital visits, including poor Daisy, but we are all doing well right now. Wynne’s nephew, Malcolm, is in remission! (Donate to St. Jude, y’all!).

Jordan got her license! She is a very good driver, so Papa has even let her drive his new car! She is doing well with online school for her Junior year, and likes everything but math, although Megan is helping. She is loving driving, going out with friends, and doing school on a flexible schedule, sleeping-in most mornings. After an unwelcome return of the pseudo-tumor, it appears it is now under control.

Megan and Josh are engaged! We had a beautiful, if damp, party to let the families and wedding party meet to celebrate the happy couple at the bride's grandparent's home. All of the grandparents were even able to make it in to town. Wedding plans for next summer are coming along nicely!

Megan took her last final (at least for now) on December 7, turned 21 on December 8, and received her Bachelor of Science from UL in Mathematics on December 14! It was a lovely ceremony for the Sciences, and all 6 math graduates. We had a fabulous party with the graduate afterwards at Howard & Melissa Wood's home! We are so thankful to them for taking care of Megan during her Lafayette adventure, especially this last semester!

Megan has moved back to Baton Rouge to find a job for the spring before she and Josh head off to begin their own grand adventure at whichever grad school offers him the most!  We are focusing right now on keeping loved ones near!

We welcomed two new loved ones as Charlie’s nephews began their families. Welcome, Piper and Robbie!

We also had to say goodbye to our beloved friend, Ms. Tootsie.

So, by New Year’s, we will take a cup of kindness yet for auld lang syne (times gone by); the wonderful and not so wonderful!

We are looking forward to an adventure-filled 2019!

Love,

Charlie, Wynne, Megan & Jordan
& Daisy
