We keep finding Christmas in the small celebrations of life all around us – sometimes it takes tearing down the brambles covering the live vines, but we celebrate through it all.

Thank you to everyone who has walked through this very difficult year with us and continue to support and pray for us, even in this holiday season! We gained a new, little lamb who lights up our lives, even as we continue to deal with the loss of a father, husband, son, and best friend.

We admit to the struggles of grief, even as we travel through the ups and downs of everyday life. We have been forced to focus on our health, physical, mental, and spiritual– taking time off from jobs, school, and even get togethers, to do the hard work of healing.

However, it is in the hard work that we celebrate life just by living! We are appreciating our family and friends, especially as we've been separated from both for such a long time! We managed a few get togethers and Charlie and Wynne managed to get in a few work trips together, as well as much needed time away. Late in the year, we were even able to schedule an actual vacation trip to Dollywood with Jordan & Crew.

Watching Noelle grow into this tiny, determined little person continues to be a highlight of our days.

With so much turmoil in the world around us, and personal tragedy at our doorsteps, it is tempting to think that Christmas is being held in cargo ships off the coast of California, but “I’m thinking Christmas is just a little bit more!”

Forgive any grinchy moments; let’s treasure each other during these times, finding the gifts that don’t come wrapped in bows (although these are lots of fun), and remembering the original gift of Christmas!

We hang on to these three things, faith, hope, and love, but the greatest of these is love.
