2019 in Review

Wow! There has been a lot of activity this year, and we are looking forward to all being together, home for the holidays!

Much of the year was dedicated to preparing for Josh & Megan's wedding - thanks to everyone who helped and were able to enjoy the day with us - it was beautiful! We've missed them after their move to Athens, GA, but they are settling in well to their cute town in a cute townhouse!

Jordan is now well into her senior year at eLearning Academy, (thanks for the beautiful senior pics, Betsy!) and she will finish on time this spring, and head to college - awaiting the latest scores and options! And after patiently waiting for the promised vehicle delayed by a wedding, she is now the proud owner of a new-to-her Toyota Rav4! (It's so nice to have a teenager to run errands again) :) She is enjoying working at the Green House Salad Company (Perkins at Essen, go eat healthy!) She has also missed her big sister, and is looking forward to having her home (and Josh, too, of course!).

Charlie and Wynne got to work more together this year, even taking a LouIsiana “Staycation” or two together. He was also able to be there without spoiling the surprise when she received the Tourism Marketer of the Year Award!

We completed phase 47 of our home remodel project - soaking in the new tub is fabulous!

Charlie has been on a health-quest, making great strides, literally! Wynne ran her first 5K at 50, placing 5th in her division. (Grandpa Day's strategy - outlive your competition!) She has also been playing a good bit of FlingGolf - it's fun - come play sometime!

With all of the high points of this year, it has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster with the lows. Not sure how we will make it through the holidays, missing Big Bob and brother-in-law Richard. We will gather the family close and continue to walk day-by-day, celebrating their legacies. Celebrating the precious moments, taking joy from things that would have brought them joy. We are looking forward to celebrating Charlie's nieces' weddings next year!

Life. Does. Go. On. We will continue to live it to the fullest! Into the new year we go! Thank you for making the journey with us!
